Best Hardware for AE
Best Hardware for AE

leave a COMMENTIs it time to step away from your shitty little laptop or over-hyped Mac and get a real computer?
Did you start doing some research and get pretty deep into PC land pretty quickly? Getting sick of trolling through Linus Tech Tips videos and still have no idea what the F*** is going on?
Luckily for you, Ben and I created a neat little video discussing the best hardware for 2D Motion Designers. (Ben did all the hard work, I just talked shit to the camera for about 45 minutes).
When Ben ordered his workstations from us, he decided that he wanted to create a content piece out of it and share his experience on the process. He had a little trouble articulating the difference between the various options out there so we jumped on a video call and started brain dumping! Fortunately for us (and everybody else) Ben edited the video up quite nicely and presented the information into bite sized sections to make it easy for people to digest (we know, it can get pretty overwhelming!).
“I had to contact Smoosh Workstations after seeing so many people praising their new builds in the Node Hardware Slack Channel. I knew I was in safe hands with John having a background in Motion Design himself.”
- Ben Marriott, Motion Designer & Illustrator
Take this advice with a grain of salt because there are a tonne of options out there and every user will utilize their PC differently, which is why we wanted to keep it as generic as possible for all you hardware noobs.
“In this video, we cover the most important hardware components for Motion Graphic Designers running Adobe After Effects, and smoothly running the Adobe Creative Suite. We break down the importance of CPUs, RAM, GPUs and SSDs.”
- John Tanios, Smoosh Workstations
